Softer, smoother, less visible
A new swimsuit, a changing room mirror, and the marks you notice first. Red marks respond beautifully, white marks soften, flatten and become far less visible, and the colour of yours shapes the plan more than the device does. Your clinician on Wimpole Street matches the treatment to the mark.
per treatment
Red marks respond beautifully, and white marks soften and smooth.
Which colour yours are matters more than which treatment you choose.
Marks from a growth spurt, pregnancy, rapid weight change or training. Colour shapes the whole plan: red or purple marks are still remodelling, white or silver marks are settled scar tissue.
Marks from pregnancy or rapid weight change. SkinPen microneedling is the mainstay; CO2 laser is the strongest option for white, mature marks with textural change.
Marks from a growth spurt or training, treated in the same way and usually needing more sessions than facial work.
Topical anaesthetic; body areas take longer than facial work. A day of downtime for microneedling, five to seven for CO2 laser. Four to six sessions four weeks apart, assessed three months after the last.
Colour, texture and whether the marks are indented, plus your skin type, which decides whether ablative laser is appropriate. Red or purple marks are still remodelling; white or silver marks are settled scar tissue.
What you feel or see A close look at the marks.
What to do If yours are red, act now rather than waiting to see whether they fade.

Topical anaesthetic. Body areas take longer than facial work.
What you feel or see Depends on the device: a scratchy vibration for microneedling, heat and prickling for laser.
What to do Plan the downtime for the device you are having.
A day for microneedling, five to seven for CO2 laser.
What you feel or see Redness that settles quickly, or a week of healing.
What to do SPF and gentle care on the treated area.
Four to six sessions four weeks apart, with body areas usually needing more than facial ones.
What you feel or see Each session repeats the same downtime.
What to do Keep to the four-week spacing so collagen can lay down.
Assessment three months after the final session. Red marks improve substantially. White marks become far less visible and better in texture, blending closer to the surrounding skin.
What you feel or see A real, visible improvement.
What to do Photographs in identical lighting and position for comparison.

Your plan and the number of sessions are agreed at your consultation, before anything is booked.
Substantially, particularly while marks are still red. The aim is softer, flatter, far less visible marks, and your clinician shows you what to expect for yours.
Anyone with marks from a growth spurt, pregnancy, rapid weight change or training, who would love them softer and less visible.
If yours are red, act now rather than waiting to see whether they fade, because the tissue is still remodelling and treatment can work with that. If they are white, treatment still helps, and your clinician shows you how much to expect.
Considerably. Red marks have active blood supply and remodelling tissue. White marks are mature scar and improve more slowly and partially.
Microneedling from £450 for a body area, CO2 laser from £300. We quote the course.
Four to six for microneedling, one to three for CO2 laser. Body areas need more than facial areas.
Microneedling suits most skin tones after a skin check, and it is our default. Ablative CO2 is assessed carefully on deeper skin tones because of the chance of pigment change.
Prescription creams, discussed at consultation, can help early red marks. For white mature marks, in-clinic treatment is the route that delivers.
For white marks, genuinely yes, because it stains surrounding skin and not the marks. Some people find it makes them more visible, so test a small area.
Yes. Marks from growth spurts and training are common in men and treated identically.
Every plan starts with a conversation and a close look at your skin, so the treatment you book is the one that suits you.
